My last concert for 28 years. Have tickets to Tom Petty/ZZ Top on Sept 16, 2010 and REO Speedwagon/Eddie Money on Oct 8, 2010 breaking a long drought. Lots of great classic acts coming around that I have been missing. I am looking forward to seeing many more.
The opener was "Hells Bells", perfect selection with the giant bell being slowly lowered. I saw them again on the "Black Ice" Tour at the Verizon Center in Washington DC. They still have it.
They opened the show, got booed offstage and the drummer mooned the crowd on his way off stage. They were a new level of awful.
Hells Bells was a knockout opener & Midnight Flyer got destroyed by the crowd just like Avenger & Marvine said above. My buddy Richard got grounded at the last minute, so I scrambled and found a date to take. It was general admission and I remember walking the floor and running into an old friend, Glenn K, who I hadn't seen since middle school when he moved to St. Pete. My date & I were 17 at the time and I transported us their in my old 1973 orange VW bug.
