I believe this was the first who concert following the cincinnati fatalities. can anyone confirm.

That's correct, the Cincinnati concert was eight days earlier. I was on the floor for the Pontiac show and at one point things got a little crazy as the audience started going side to side and it kind of felt like you were being swept up in some out of control wave. I can't remember if the band actually stopped playing to get everyone to chill out, but I do remember a look of dismay on their faces, which is understandable in the wake of the recent tragedy.

My bad, after a Google search it turns out there were two shows in between the Cincinnat and Pontiac concerts.

The Cincinnati concert was on the 3rd and Pontiac was on the 7th but it was not the next show..........I remember when it was over and the place was clearing out my feet left the ground in the crush of people I climbed up on garbage can or something and just let the crowd go bye.

It was an awsome Concert. I then seen them in the Maple leaf Gardens in May 1980 but the best show was there close out show of that Tour at CNE Stadium in July 1980 ..............It is an out door venue it was so loud but so amazingly clear it was awesome..........Best concert I have ever been to.

I would also add that I believe Wiki is wrong about the attendance records they list. I seem to rememebr the 1979 Pontiac show being over 90,000 If I remember correctly the Who anounced it as that and asked everyone to be cool and take it easy.
